5a. Sharing with Providers

The core function of our service is to connect you with solar installers. When you submit a quote request, we make it available to DEWA-certified solar providers in our network who serve your area. Initially they see only limited, partly anonymised details. Your Contact Information, Property Details, Energy Usage, and Location Data are shared in full with a limited number of providers who take up your request. These providers will use your data solely to prepare and provide you with solar installation quotes.

The Meta Pixel is a piece of code that collects information about your actions on our website (such as pages visited and forms submitted) and shares it with Meta Platforms, Inc.

5d. Email Processing Sub-processor (Resend)

We use Resend, Inc. (resend.com) as our email delivery sub-processor for all transactional emails sent from solarquote.ae. Resend processes email on our behalf; it does not use your data for its own purposes.

The following personal data categories are transmitted to Resend for email delivery:

• Consumer confirmation emails: your first name, email address, and reference code (e.g. SQ-XXXXXX).
• Internal operator alerts (sent to our own FZ-LLC inbox, not to you): your first name, mobile number, location community, emirate, and reference code. These alerts are sent to our operations team so they can follow up with you promptly on WhatsApp.
• Contact form submissions: your full name, email address, mobile number, optional quote reference code, and message content, sent to our own info@solarquote.ae inbox (not to you) so we can respond to your inquiry.

Resend email-body retention:By default, Resend retains the body of sent emails for up to 7 days for delivery diagnostics. We minimise the data included in email bodies to what is strictly necessary (as enumerated above). You may request deletion of any personal data held by us, including data that may be in Resend’s logs, by contacting us at info@solarquote.ae.

Delivery outcomes we record:When Resend tells us what happened to one of these emails — that it was delivered, that it bounced, or that it was reported as spam — we record that outcome so we can tell whether our emails are reaching people. We store the outcome, the time, and the reason text the mail server gave, with any email address or domain removed from that text before it is saved. We do notuse Resend’s open or click tracking and do not record whether you opened an email.

Secure quote-link visits: The confirmation email contains a link that returns to your quote details. When that specific link is used, SolarQuote records the first time it was visited against the email-delivery record. This helps our team understand whether the secure quote link was used, but it is not treated as proof that you personally clicked it or confirmed your identity because automated mail-security systems may visit links. We do not add an IP address, user-agent, device, location, referrer, visit count, or later visits to this record. It is deleted with the email-delivery record after 30 days and is not required for your quote to continue.

How we receive those outcomes: Resend sends these notifications to a single address on our website. That address receives a notification for every email our account sends — including messages to our installer partners and our own sign-in emails — not only the emails addressed to you. So that the same notification can never be counted twice or replayed by someone else, we save a reference number for each one before we work out which email it relates to. Notifications that turn out not to relate to a quote of yours are kept as reference numbers only: an identifier for the notification, an identifier for the message, the type of event, the time we received it, and what we did with it. They carry no name, no email address and no message content, and they are deleted on the same 30-day schedule as everything else in this section.

Notification and communication channels: With your explicit authorization on the request form, automated and operator-initiated messages including quote confirmations and status notifications are delivered via WhatsApp. Your phone number is shared with Meta solely for the purpose of delivering these messages.

5e. WhatsApp Opt-In and Opt-Out

We will only send you WhatsApp messages if you have explicitly consented to being contacted by WhatsApp. You can give consent in two ways: (1) by ticking the consent checkbox on our quote request form, which specifically names WhatsApp contact among the purposes you are agreeing to; or (2) for manually entered enquiries, by our staff recording your attestation when they register your enquiry on your behalf. In both cases, the consent is recorded and you are specifically confirming agreement to WhatsApp contact as described in this Privacy Policy. You can discontinue these communications at any time by:

• Replying STOP to any WhatsApp message you receive from us.
• Emailing info@solarquote.ae with the subject line “WhatsApp Opt-Out”.

Once you opt out, we will cease sending WhatsApp messages within 24 hours. Opting out of WhatsApp communications does not affect your quote request or any other service we provide.

5f. What We Never Do

We never sell your personal data to data brokers, marketing agencies, or third parties outside of the specific solar providers matched to your request. We do not use your data for unrelated marketing purposes.
